Overview

The underprivileged communities are none-other than, scheduled tribes, scheduled caste, Mother and children, urban slum dwellers, differentially abled population and in some cases other background communities are considered as disadvantaged groups  such groups have a higher probability of living under adverse conditions and poverty.

Poverty is a direct Index indicating Success of the economy of the country. Poor agricultural infrastructure, landless state, unequal distribution of assets, unemployment, and lack of education, social customs, and gender in equality, social discrimination and ill health are the causes of poverty.

Poverty leads to high infant mortality, malnutrition, child labour, child marriages, illiteracy, poor health, prostitution, increasing crime rates. Among who suffer the most are women and children, as they are the weakest members of the society. Diseases, poor education facilities, poor housing, lack of family/ community interaction, poor simulation, unsafe drinking water, migration.

To eradicating the poverty, to provide primary needs of people such as food, clothing, to create employment opportunities, skill development, increasing basic health facilities and to create health awareness, provide free education, to create awareness on government welfare programs, and protected welfare laws for their well-being.

Increasing economic growth rate will help in providing infrastructure and facilities which will also help in generating employment. To increase the employment opportunities, to provide primary needs to those who are unable to afford minimum facilities.

Measures should be taken to bridge the immense gap that remains in distribution of wealth among different levels of the society.

Education and empowerment of people within their communities through community education.

Promote and facilitate women and child welfare initiatives that create a way for children to achieve sustainable development in future.
